BEFORE THE LAWRENCE COUNTY COMMISSION, OFFICE OF LAWRENCE COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD, DEADWOOD, SOUTH DAKOTA 57732
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following person has applied to the Lawrence County Administrative Official for a Variance under the Lawrence County Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 16, to request:
Applicant is requesting a variance to the 1’ free board required with a structure in the floodplain. The existing residence needs a .29’ variance. Existing structure is at 4708.3 ‘ and should be at 4708.59’. The base flood elevation has been determined to be at 4707.59’. A portion of the cabin will be removed and rebuilt according to the 1’ freeboard requirement, but the remaining portion of the residence will remain under the freeboard, which is why they are asking for a variance on the older portion of the home.

Notice is further given that said application will be heard by the Lawrence County Commission, in the Commissioner's Room of the Courthouse Annex Building, 90 Sherman Street, Deadwood, South Dakota, on 12/10/2019 at 9:00 AM at which time and place any person interested may appear and show cause, if there be any, why such special exception should or should not be granted.
