This past week the City of Spearfish and Lawrence County held a couple of joint public meetings regarding the updated Floodplain Mapping Project that we have spent the past 5 years working on to allow better and more updated hydrology throughout Spearfish.

There will be changes coming and new maps will take effect on March 22, 2023! Please contact Amber Vogt, Lawrence County SD Planning & Zoning at 605-578-3871 or Bob Reiling, City of Spearfish Floodplain Administrator with questions!
